Joan Beckim

Joan has been employed by Kaneen since 1989. She has lead or assisted on public outreach, public education, public research, event planning, media coordination, and printed material production on many vital projects for more than 20 years. Joan has lead the City of Tucson’s Major Transit Investment Study from the Alternatives Analysis phase to the current alignment study and transit-oriented development phase. In addition, she leads the Tucson Department of Transportation’s Downtown Links project that incorporates transportation, land use, and extensive public outreach. These urban projects are critical to the success of a healthy central business district. Joan is certified in Public Participation through the International Association for Public Participation.
