Meth Free Alliance
Kaneen was instrumental in the creation and execution of the Tucson Police Department’s (TPD) 2007 Anti-Methamphetamine Public Education Campaign. Kaneen provided significant pro-bono time and resources to create community awareness of this important issue.
Five high quality PSAs were produced that featured former meth addicts who agreed to talk about their addiction publicly. Two Spanish radio PSAs were also produced to reach a young Hispanic demographic. Flyers and posters were designed which outlined how meth can negatively impact neighborhoods and how neighbors could fight back by reporting suspicious activity. Bus shelter ads were also utilized to promote Meth-It’s Everyone’s Problem, and the campaign won one gold and three Silver Addy Awards. Additionally, a collaboration with Pueblo High School's media arts class, it's students and their instructor, produced two PSAs targeting teens.
